History
"Actar Airforce Inc. started as a proprietary design project at Studio Innova ... Actar was a manufacturer of CPR (cardio pulmonary resuscitation) training manikins and systems, most notably the Actar 911 and Actar D-fib manikins. The Actar manikins are used extensively in Canada, the US and many countries helping millions of people learn CPR. The simplicity of the design sparked a widespread interest in community training and helped create a new category of training manikins. In 1991, the company won a prestigious Canada Award for Business Excellence in the category of Innovation. Actar Airforce was sold in 1992 to Vital Signs Inc. (Totowa NJ) and Brault and his partner Dianne Croteau continued to provide design expertise until 2011."
