In 1927, Jacques Bogolsky designed a camera the for 16 mm format (Bolex Auto-Cine) and, with the help of Charles Haccius, a businessman from Geneva, founded the Bolex company.
Since its inception, Bolex has patented all of its mechanisms, becoming a world famous brand known for it’s quality. Its trademarks were even established in pioneer markets at the time and are still active today.
The Paillard company opened a factory in Ste-Croix, Switzeland.
They manufactured watch movement and musical boxes.
