"Each unit can contain 30 CD cases. The object was a winner of Toronto’s Virtu 8 competition in 1994. The curved sound wave-like form of the Modolo CD Storage Unit evokes a sense of music.
In 1996, Arnold and Lim sold the design to the Edmonton based designer-owned manufacturer, Pure Design. Modifying the design to lower production costs, the Pure Design version has spot weld joints on each side. The IC Design version is seamless.
