"The Russell Belt Knife won the 1958 NIDC Design Award. It was exhibited in the Canadian Pavilion at the World’s Fair in Brussels in 1958.

Rudolph Grohmann, originally from Czechoslovakia, ran Grohmann Knives with his son-in-law.", "Field-tested, handmade and honed, the Russell Belt Knife (No. 1) features anti-slip finger milling, a palm and finger-fitting rosewood handle —for a safe and comfortable grip—and a unique four-inch elliptical blade that lessens cutting drag." (pg. 23)
"Each knife is provided with a handmolded, six-ounce, top grain, oil-tanned and polished cowhide scabbard." (pg. 23)
