Description
These polypropylene cases are manufactured from identical shells assembled face to face. In 1989 Michel Dallaire was asked by Resentel to develop a secondary product line taking advantage of the company’s injection moulding expertise. The result was L’Attaché, a plastic briefcase which retailed for just $14. Initially sold through Woolworth’s and other low-end stores, the product was unsuccessful. However, Dallaire believed the product would do better in a high-end market and showed it to the Museum of Modern Art in New York. MOMA’s prestigious boutique ordered 500 units. The line has been expanded to include many different sizes from a lunch box to a suitcase.
