Spanner Products Limited (1923 - 1963), Toronto.

Founded in 1923 under the name Spanner Battery Separator Company, the company manufactured wooden battery separators (thin sheets of wood separating metal plates car batteries) and later wooden battery boxes. By 1938 the company’s product line included ‘country cottage’ breakfast room furniture and ping pong tables. To reflect its broader product range, the company changed its name to Spanner Products Limited in 1938 and continued to operate until 1963.
