"In 1950, Moffatt introduced an elliptical design. The ovular form discourage imitations because it required more complex tooling to bend the compound curves. Moffatt's final kettle has an integrated spout and handle, similar to Lawrie McIntosh's design. Its handle is "sculpted" and wider at the front to protect knuckles from the steam. Krups distributed it under license in Europe." (In reference to similar model CGE 840, Design in Canada (2004), p. 209)
